Head off the highway and explore some of the best 4WD areas Australia has to offer, with an endless number of tracks available that vary from easy to extremely difficult.
Hiking and Bushwalking
Call it hiking, bushwalking or just admiring the stunning scenery, the extensive network of tracks and trails throughout Mount Disappointment State Forest and Tallarook State Forest offer delights galore for those setting out on foot. Due to the diverse terrain, some of the walking tracks in the local area have been used by visitors who are in training prior to walking the Kakoda Trail.
Mountain Bike Riding
Keen mountain bike riders can always find a track or trail to muddy up the tyres. Mount Disappointment and Tallarook State Forests offer some of the most challenging and exhilarating rides.
Fishing at Richards Bridge or on the Goulburn River
Richards Bridge is located just down the road on King Parrot Creek Road, Strath Creek. There are also plently of fishing spots along the Goulburn Valley River where you are able to drop a line in for some trout or just enjoy lazing on the bank.

You will realise that maybe just one weekend is not enough time to take in what is on offer in this great part of Victoria. We are sure you will want to return and start where you left off - or maybe just do it all over again.
Kerrisdale Mountain Railway & Museum
A unique two foot gauge mountain railway. Open 10am-5pm Thursday to Monday.
Trains run hourly 11am to 4pm on weekends, school and public holidays. Great for the kids!
